Descripción del puesto

Renewable Energy Engineer (Entry-Level)

Location: Houston, TX (hybrid)

Salary: $70,000 - $95,000, depending on experience

Type: Full-time

About us

We are a clean energy company that develops, builds, owns and operates renewable projects across the United States, with a portfolio spanning utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS). Texas leads the nation in wind and utility-scale solar, and our Austin team works at the heart of that build-out. We are looking for an entry-level engineer ready to grow with a fleet that is growing fast.

What you will do

  • You will support engineering across our project pipeline, learning from experienced engineers while carrying real responsibility from early on. Your work will include:
  • Supporting engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects at every stage of development
  • Preparing energy production estimates, site evaluations and technical due diligence
  • Assisting with interconnection applications and coordination with utilities and grid operators, including ERCOT processes
  • Reviewing technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment vendors
  • Supporting construction and commissioning, with regular travel to project sites across Texas and neighboring states
  • Analyzing performance data from operating assets and recommending improvements
  • Helping improve the tools, templates and standards our engineering team relies on

What we are looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
  • A demonstrated interest in renewable energy and the clean energy transition
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data and spreadsheets
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to make technical topics simple
  • Initiative and curiosity: you take ownership, ask good questions and learn quickly
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Internship, co-op or project experience in energy is a plus but not required. We hire for aptitude and attitude, and we invest in developing our engineers.

What we offer

  • $70,000 - $95,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working from our Austin office
  • A structured development path with mentorship from senior engineers
  • Hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle across three technologies
  • Health, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, and generous PTO
  • Support for professional development, including PE licensure
  • The chance to build your career in the largest renewable energy market in the country
