Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Technician to join our dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, and troubleshooting photovoltaic (solar) systems across various sites, ensuring all work complies with electrical safety standards and industry regulations. Your expertise will contribute to advancing sustainable energy solutions while providing exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on innovative projects that make a positive impact on the environment and communities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot issues with solar power systems using voltmeters, multimeters, and other hand tools.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate system setup and wiring configurations.
- Perform low voltage and high voltage electrical work in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and NFPA 70 safety procedures.
- Use ladders safely to access rooftops or elevated areas during installation or maintenance activities.
- Conduct system inspections, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of photovoltaic systems.
- Maintain construction site safety protocols, including roofing safety measures, outdoor work procedures, and electrical safety practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a solar technician or in related electrical roles within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of photovoltaic system installation, electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and blueprint reading.
- Experience with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance requirements for electrical safety procedures.
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, fixtures installation equipment, and construction site machinery safely.
- Construction experience including roofing, outdoor work environments, and working at heights using ladders.
- Electrical blueprint reading skills combined with proficiency in using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting complex electrical issues efficiently.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Work Location: On the road
