Offshore Wind Commissioning Technician

A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Offshore Commissioning Technician, you will be part of a permanently employed team responsible for commissioning offshore wind turbine projects in accordance with safety standards, project requirements, company procedures, and industry regulations. Based out of Orlando, Florida, you may be deployed to projects across North America and internationally, including Europe and APAC. Working on a rotational shift pattern, you'll spend your days supporting turbine installation activities, conducting commissioning tasks, ensuring safe operations, training team members, and contributing to the successful delivery of renewable energy projects in challenging offshore environments.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Perform, supervise, and ensure safe execution of all phases of wind turbine installation and commissioning activities.
• Prepare transition pieces, tools, equipment, and components during loadout and installation, while supporting punch list closure and project completion activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and logbooks, while training and mentoring colleagues and third-party personnel on site.

What You Bring

• Minimum of 2 years of commissioning experience, with hands-on knowledge of wind turbine installation activities including slinging, signaling, mechanical completion, retrofit, and snagging work.
• Strong commitment to health and safety, with experience working under safe systems of work and the ability to work at height, perform physically demanding tasks, and operate effectively in adverse weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 100%) throughout the United States, Canada, and occasionally internationally, along with strong IT literacy and digital communication skills.

Regional Statements

This role may be based in various locations across the United States. The base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on location, experience, skills, certifications, and business needs. Qualified applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
