Solar Installer Helper / Electrical Helper (Entry Level, Will Train)

No experience? No problem. Texas Best Solar is a veteran-owned solar contractor based in Lewisville, installing solar across Dallas-Fort Worth. We're hiring a hard-working helper for our install crew. Show up on time, work hard, and stay safe, and we'll teach you the trade: solar installs on the roof and electrical work alongside our licensed crew electrician.

Pay: $20–$25/hr, depending on experience. Full-time, Monday–Friday, early starts. Overtime paid at time-and-a-half when approved.

What you'll do

- Work on residential roofs (after our fall protection training), helping install racking and solar panels

- Carry and stage panels, rails, and materials. Load and unload the trailer

- Run conduit and pull wire under the direction of our licensed electrician

- Help on service calls and detach & reset (D&R) jobs when a homeowner gets a new roof

- Clean solar panels and keep job sites neat. We treat every customer's home with respect

Must-haves

- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

- On time, every time. Crews start early

- Comfortable with heights and ladders, and able to lift and carry about 50 lb repeatedly

- Able to work outside in Texas heat

- Pass a drug screen and background check after a job offer

- Able to register with the state (TDLR) as an Apprentice Electrician. We'll walk you through it in week one

Nice to have (not required)

- Construction, roofing, or electrical experience

- Your own basic hand tools

- OSHA 10 card

Where this job can go

- Helper -> PV Technician -> Roof Lead or Crew Electrician -> Crew Lead

- Your hours working under a licensed electrician as a registered apprentice can count toward a Texas Journeyman Electrician license

What we offer

- Paid on-the-job training, plus the safety gear and fall protection you need

- PTO after your first year

- A veteran-owned team that promotes from within. Veterans are encouraged to apply
