- Originate greenfield projects and secure land through site screening, feasibility analysis, landowner negotiations, leases, options, and easements.
- Drive permitting, environmental approvals, engineering studies, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead ERCOT interconnection strategy, applications, grid studies, transmission coordination, and interconnection agreements.
- Develop projects through investment readiness and coordinate the transition from development into construction.
- Support EPC contractor selection, procurement strategy, project financial modeling, and investment committee reviews.
- Support PPA, hedging, financing, and tax equity diligence activities.
- Evaluate standalone and co-located battery energy storage opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with Texas landowners, utilities, ERCOT stakeholders, government authorities, consultants, and contractors.
- Take ownership of complex on-the-ground challenges and keep projects progressing within approved budgets and schedules.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 18–20+ years of relevant renewable energy or project development experience, including 12–15+ years in utility-scale solar development.
- Mandatory hands-on experience in early-stage, greenfield utility-scale solar project development.
- Strong working knowledge of Texas land acquisition, permitting, ERCOT interconnection, transmission, and local regulatory processes.
- Proven experience taking projects from origination through development and construction.
- Strong understanding of project economics, EPC execution, procurement, development risks, and commercial strategy.
- An established network across the Texas renewable energy market.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- A practical, results-oriented approach to resolving development challenges in the field.
Why This Opportunity?
- Lead a substantial utility-scale solar development pipeline in one of the country's most important electricity markets.
- Take ownership of projects from initial site origination through construction readiness.
- Shape project development strategy and contribute directly to portfolio growth.
