Solar Installer Electrician

Position summary:

Synergy Energy & Lighting has been in the electrical industry for over 40 years. We primarily work in the Eastern half of the continental US, specializing in LED lighting upgrades and Retrofits. Additionally, we perform service upgrades, EV charging installations and renewable power solutions utilizing solar and wind.

We are currently seeking installers and technicians experienced in the solar, lighting and general electrical industries. This is a highly mobile position, with 90% of our work requiring travel to the southern and eastern US.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Complete all aspects of solar installation including layout and assembly of solar panels, structural mounts and ballasts, electrical Balance of Systems, and final commissioning.

· Install equipment, cables and panels, bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wire, and install various control components and devices.

· Install and terminate disconnects and switchgear

· Tie in solar system to utility interconnection.

· Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment

· Review project Bill of Material at loading dock to ensure that assigned crew truck is adequately stocked for assigned projects.

· Act as primary point of contact at site representing Synergy Energy & Lighting to our customers, permitting authorities and host utilities.

· Drive a continuous improvement culture that optimizes quality, customer satisfaction and schedule completion.

Requirements:

· Previous solar installation experience.

· Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.

· Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000V DC / 120V – 480V AC.

· Frequent travel as project sites are located throughout the southeastern states.

· Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment with demonstrated Program/Project management skills.

· Demonstrated continuous process improvement mentality.

· 3+ years of journeyman-level electrical experience

· Experience troubleshooting electrical systems

· Own hand tools

· Reliable transportation to our warehouse

· Ability to pass background check and drug screen

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Willing to work in all types of weather

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & DETAILS:

· Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus

· OSHA10 or greater (or Ability to get)

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 80.0 per week
