We are seeking a reliable and experienced Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with solar installations, Knowledgeable how to do site inspections, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial solar energy systems, knowledgeable how to host inspections. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical instructions, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Inspections
- Battery Installations
- Familiar with Enphase Microinverters and Batteries
- Install residential and commercial solar PV systems, including mounting hardware, solar panels, inverters, and electrical components
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards, local codes, and industry regulations
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform routine maintenance when needed
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow project plans, diagrams, and instructions accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and equipment safely
- Support team leads and electricians in completing installations on schedule
Qualifications Required:
- 2-3 years of experience in the solar installation field
- Ability to work comfortably and safely on roofs, ladders, and in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of basic construction and electrical principles
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Experience installing solar PV systems
- Troubleshooting / Service Calls
Duties
- Install, wire, and commission solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites following project specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting.
- Mount solar panels on rooftops or ground mounts securely
- Connect electrical components including inverters, wiring harnesses, fixtures, and electrical panels as needed.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and inspections to ensure optimal performance before project completion.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of fixture installation, wiring practices, and electrical troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading for solar system layouts and site plans.
- Experience working on construction sites or roofing projects with attention to safety protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
