About the Role

This is a hands-on, field-based opportunity working alongside Project Managers, construction leaders, engineers, subcontractors, vendors and customers throughout the complete project lifecycle. This position is ideal for an early-to-mid-career construction professional who wants broader project responsibility, exposure to technically complex multimillion-dollar projects and a clear path toward becoming a Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource coordination throughout all phases of construction
  • Coordinate daily activities between field personnel, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, customers and internal teams
  • Support onsite construction and installation activities
  • Track project progress and maintain reports, logs, drawings and other project documentation
  • Assist with procurement, material tracking and contract administration
  • Help identify and resolve issues affecting schedule, cost, quality or project execution
  • Participate in quality inspections, risk assessments and field problem-solving
  • Support compliance with safety requirements, technical specifications and quality standards
  • Participate in customer meetings and project presentations
  • Develop the technical, operational and client-facing skills necessary to manage projects independently

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, renewable energy, utility or infrastructure projects
  • Working knowledge of construction processes and project management fundamentals
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, schedules and technical specifications
  • Strong organizational, communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work effectively with field teams, engineers, contractors, vendors and customers
  • Comfort working onsite in outdoor and potentially remote construction environments
  • Willingness to travel extensively and transition between project locations

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Project Coordinator or Assistant Superintendent
  • Experience with substations, battery energy storage systems, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, utilities, heavy civil or industrial construction
  • Familiarity with scheduling, budgeting, procurement, materials management, QA/QC or contract administration

Pay range and compensation package

Base salary of $100,000–$130,000 plus project incentives generally ranging from $5,000–$20,000 per assignment, company-provided housing or enhanced per diem, company-paid rotational travel, company vehicle, cell phone allowance, and additional comprehensive employee benefits.
