Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Perform a full range of diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and oversight of issues that may arise at a solar farm across the US
- Ability to diagnose a full range of solar service issues
- Provide outstanding customer experience
- Ability to travel using own vehicle or in company owned vehicle
- Participate in staff meetings and assist with broader company initiatives
- Provide daily reports
- Effectively use hand and power tools
- Effectively use a laptop and a variety of programs/applications
- Learn and understand basic low voltage electrical systems
- Operate machinery/equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, backhoes, rock drills, jack hammers, compressors, generators, winches
- Troubleshoot technological issues
- Clean, maintain, and inventory company owned tools/equipment
- Contribute during the planning phase of the project by performing regional research and outreach
- Act professionally in remote areas, on active construction sites, or in the office
- Think creatively and encourage open-mindedness
- Continually drive self-improvement and motivate excellence in coworkers
- Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures
- Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Drive long distances in heavy work trucks, often with trailers in tow
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years working with solar operational farms
- Knowledge of all major solar and energy storage products
- Training on top tier inverters a plus
- Journeyman electrician preferred, NABCEP or similar certification preferred
- Must be highly organized and punctual
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a valid drivers license and pass cdl background check and physical
- Must have the ability to work though issues and troubleshoot safely
Accommodate frequent travel* - 75% of the year / 3 weeks per month - Work as a member of a small team, as well as independently in the field
- Must be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: standing, stooping, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time. Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
- Lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
- Lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
- Sustain prolonged exposure to extreme weather and environmental conditions
