Pay: $20.00 - $42.00 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work effectively in various environments, including rooftops and outdoor settings. The Solar Technician will play a crucial role in promoting renewable energy solutions and ensuring the optimal performance of solar installations.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels and related equipment on residential and commercial rooftops.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on existing solar energy systems.
• Utilize hand tools and electrical equipment, including voltmeters, to ensure proper installation and functionality.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand system layouts and specifications.
• Work with both low voltage and high voltage systems as required.
• Operate forklifts safely to transport materials to job sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working at heights or in potentially hazardous conditions.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all job sites.

Must be okay with travel.

Skills

• Proficient in working with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
• Experience using voltmeters for testing electrical components.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools used in installation and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work safely on roofs and elevated surfaces.
• Familiarity with electrical concepts and practices related to solar technology.
• Competence in blueprint reading for accurate installations.
• Skills in building structures or supports for solar panel installations are a plus.
• Forklift operation experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
