Descripción del puesto
The Lead Solar Technician leads a crew in completing solar installations, removals, reinstalls, service work, and battery projects. This position is responsible for jobsite safety, quality, crew productivity, system testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and train solar crew members.
- Review job details and assign daily tasks.
- Follow and enforce all safety procedures.
- Install solar panels, racking, wiring, inverters, and related equipment.
- Perform solar removals and reinstalls.
- Troubleshoot and repair solar systems.
- Test systems and confirm they are operating properly.
- Inspect equipment and report damaged or missing materials.
- Take required photos and complete job notes and forms.
- Communicate with homeowners and office staff.
- Keep jobsites, vehicles, tools, and materials clean and organized.
- Report safety concerns, property damage, and job complications immediately.
Qualifications
- Solar installation or service experience.
- Ability to lead and train a crew.
- Knowledge of common solar equipment and racking systems.
- Basic electrical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Reliable attendance and transportation.
- Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for job documentation.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Carry solar panels, ladders, tools, and materials.
- Work on roofs and climb ladders.
- Work outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Safely use power tools and fall-protection equipment
Pay: $100.00 - $500.00 per day
Work Location: In person
