Solar Engineer

Project Engineers (multiple positions at a variety of levels)

Full Time Direct Hire

Salary is ~$80-125k+ and bonus depending on experience level

Hybrid, 3 days a week in office

Office options: San Diego, CA 92128, New York 10004, or Los Angeles 90013

~10-20% travel

Required:

• 2-10 years overall Project Engineering experience
• 1-2yr+ Commercial Solar and/or Storage
• Understands permitting & interconnection process
• Basic understanding of financial modeling and incentive programs
• Strong mix of the following: Helioscope, AutoCAD, PVSyst, Excel, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Procore
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred)

Summary/Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing technical support during the detailed engineering & construction stage of projects and will be exposed to all aspects of projects

• Design and engineer commercial and small utility-scale solar PV projects
• Communicate with utilities on an ongoing basis
• Stay up-to-date on code and policy changes that impact system design
• Coordinate cadence with customer during design phase and construction phase
• Coordinate design package with Engineering firms
• Coordinate with vendors and lead procurement of materials
• Perform inspections during the installation process
• Oversee commissioning process
• Assist in close out of projects with utility
• Perform production analysis for PV systems
• Assist Business Development team with pre-contract due diligence
