Field Technician

Field Technician | San Diego, CA | $24/hr | Contract-to-Hire

Insight Global is hiring 2 Field Technicians for a leading environmental engineering and consulting firm in San Diego. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, using tools, and building a long-term career in a growing technical field.

This company specializes in environmental services, landfill construction, gas collection systems, and environmental compliance projects throughout San Diego County. They have a strong reputation for investing in employee development and maintaining a high conversion rate from contract to permanent employment.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor, maintain, and repair landfill gas collection systems
• Perform inspections and collect system measurements
• Work with piping, flare systems, gauges, and gas-related equipment
• Use hand and power tools daily
• Support multiple landfill sites throughout San Diego County
• Work alongside engineers, superintendents, construction teams, and experienced field technicians
• Receive hands-on training in environmental systems, repair work, monitoring, and operations

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in field services, construction, environmental, electrical, oil & gas, solar, maintenance, or related industries
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Fully onsite

Compensation & Benefits:

• $24/hr during the initial 6-month contract
• Pay increase upon permanent conversion
