Traveling Solar Project Manager - $160K-$180K - Sparks, NV

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Solar Project Manager to lead utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects throughout the United States. This position is based out of Sparks, NV and requires up to 75% travel to project sites.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing large-scale renewable energy construction projects from preconstruction through completion while maintaining project schedules, budgets, quality, and client satisfaction.

Salary

$160,000 - $180,000 annually (DOE)

Responsibilities

● Manage utility-scale Solar PV and BESS construction projects from start to finish.

● Oversee project budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.

● Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, engineers, consultants, and field teams.

● Lead weekly project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.

● Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.

● Review project costs, permits, construction expenses, and change orders.

● Manage subcontractor performance and maintain strong client relationships.

● Review and interpret EPC contracts and project specifications.

● Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

● 7-10 years of construction project management experience.

● Minimum 3 years managing utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects.

● Strong experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and construction teams.

● Ability to read and interpret EPC contracts.

● Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

● Construction Management degree preferred.

Requirements

● Willing to travel up to 75% nationwide.

● Valid driver’s license.

● Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record review, physical, and drug screen.
