Role Description The Ground Crew Lead and Installers role is a full-time, on-site position based in Deltona, FL. Team members will install silt fencing and erosion control materials, prepare and maintain job sites, and operate basic tools and equipment safely. The Ground Crew Lead will coordinate daily crew activities, assign tasks, monitor quality and productivity, and ensure work is completed according to safety and compliance standards. Installers will support the Lead by following instructions, performing physical labor such as digging, lifting, and securing materials, and assisting with loading and unloading supplies. All team members will communicate with supervisors, follow company procedures, and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or field installation work, including basic knowledge of erosion control or related site work.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, digging, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills for coordinating crew activities, giving clear instructions, and supporting a collaborative work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, including adherence to company safety policies and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Reliable transportation to Deltona, FL job sites and willingness to travel locally as needed.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal directions in English.
- Basic tool and equipment handling skills; experience operating small machinery or vehicles on job sites is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in erosion control or environmental compliance projects is beneficial.
