Descripción del puesto

Director of Project Controls (Nuclear Mega-Projects)

Expression of interest

Please note: This is not an active live vacancy. We are proactively building an executive candidate pool in preparation for upcoming scale-up projects with leading advanced reactor (SMR) and fusion energy developers.

Role Overview

We are seeking expressions of interest from senior Project Controls leaders to direct schedule, cost, and risk management for First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) nuclear build pipelines. As advanced nuclear developers sign multi-gigawatt Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with technology hyperscalers and utility off-takers, managing capital allocation and project schedules is critical.

This role will lead the internal "Owner's Team" project controls group, integrating factory component builds, site preparation, and field construction into a master Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

Mandatory Requirement

  • Nuclear Sector Experience: Prior project controls leadership on major nuclear construction, refurbishment, or design programs is strictly essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage corporate Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) utilizing Primavera P6 and advanced project management analytics.
  • Direct capital cost estimation, baseline schedule development, and change-control processes across multi-billion-dollar nuclear project portfolios.
  • Manage progress tracking across internal engineering teams, modular manufacturing plants, and external EPC partners.
  • Provide risk-quantification modeling and schedule forecasting to C-suite executives, board members, and hyperscaler off-take partners.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project controls leadership specifically within nuclear capital projects, nuclear engineering firms, or licensed nuclear facilities.
  • Mastery of Primavera P6, EVMS frameworks, and nuclear documentation/reporting workflows.
  • Proven experience managing project controls on "Owner's Representative" teams supervising EPC contractors.

Target Base Compensation

$180,000 – $240,000 per year (DOE) + Performance Bonus + Equity Options (Final compensation package tailored based on experience level and project lifecycle phase).

NOTICE: This posting is an Expression of Interest (EOI) for future project mobilization. By submitting your profile, your information will be confidentially reviewed for upcoming permanent leadership opportunities.
